Mr. Ghafoor, founder of Accountax Consultants UK Ltd., embodies dedication and hands-on expertise in accounting and business advisory services. His career path reflects a deep commitment to supporting his clients’ success, with a background enriched by practical experience and academic achievement. Mr. Ghafoor began his journey in accounting after moving to the UK in 2000. Driven by a passion for the profession, he achieved his ACCA qualification in 2002, which set the foundation for a seven-year tenure with Shahidullah & Co, where he developed a robust understanding of industry demands. In 2004, Mr. Ghafoor established Accountax Consultants UK Ltd., beginning as a single-office practice. Over the years, the firm has grown to three offices and serves a diverse client base of 800 businesses. Mr. Ghafoor’s approach centers around understanding each client’s unique goals, helping them achieve sustainable growth, and navigating challenges with practical, tailored solutions. His motivation comes from the satisfaction of seeing clients succeed and knowing that his support has played a role in their achievements. A dedicated family man, Mr. Ghafoor enjoys exploring the beautiful landscapes of the UK, from the Lake District to the Highlands, alongside his family. In his free time, he also pursues a lifelong interest in Islamic studies, completing his advanced studies in 2022 and continuing to deepen his understanding. With a genuine and compassionate approach, Mr. Ghafoor has earned the trust of his clients, who appreciate his commitment to their success. Bilal Rai, the Managing Partner of Accountax, is a skilled entrepreneur and seasoned accountant whose dedication has shaped Accountax into a powerhouse of client-focused service. After achieving his ACCA qualification with distinction in 2007, Bilal built a wealth of experience at prominent UK firms, including PwC. His tenure included hands-on roles in auditing across industries such as retail, manufacturing, education, and later, asset management and hedge funds, serving multi-billion-dollar asset managers at PwC’s London headquarters. He also mentored numerous graduates, helping to cultivate the next generation of professionals. Bilal joined Accountax as a Partner in 2017, and through his entrepreneurial approach and innovative vision, he has transformed the firm into a dynamic leader in accounting and advisory services. Under his guidance, Accountax has expanded to over 80 dedicated team members, each trained to deliver a blend of specialized, high-quality services that cater directly to client needs. Bilal restructured the firm, adding specialized departments and a dual-office model, which has allowed Accountax to balance the strengths of a large firm with the personal touch that clients value. With a strong commitment to his clients' success, Bilal brings an active, hands-on approach to each engagement. He takes a personal interest in understanding the unique challenges and opportunities within each client’s business, applying strategic tax planning and financial insights to help them grow and optimize their operations. As an acting finance director across several organizations, Bilal ensures clients maximize their potential, guiding them on everything from tax efficiency to sustainable business growth. Bilal’s leadership has propelled Accountax to achieve remarkable growth, providing job opportunities globally and earning client trust. By leveraging advanced technology and his deep knowledge of business and finance, he continually expands Accountax’s services, ensuring the firm remains a trusted partner for clients aiming to achieve long-term success. Outside of work, Bilal enjoys road trips across Europe, Turkey, South Asia, and the Middle East with his family. Passionate about cars and exploring new cuisines, he cherishes quality time with his three daughters and draws inspiration from his own family adventures
Mr. Shoaib Dar is an accomplished finance professional and a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He began his career in 2006 at KPMG, where he quickly rose to Audit Supervisor, leading audits for multinational companies. Later, as Assistant Controller at Zaver Petroleum Corporation, he managed corporate reporting and tax compliance. From 2013 to 2018, he served as CFO, overseeing financial planning and managing large-scale projects funded by DFID, USAID, and the European Commission. Since joining Accountax in 2018, Mr. Dar has played a key role in project delivery, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
